Connect Slack to TXM

Set up the Slack integration in TXM to enable the rules engine to send Slack messages when triggered.

  1. Open the Actions app.
  2. In the navigation bar, click Product Settings > Slack Settings.
  3. To retrieve the Webhook URL, click Learn More and follow the steps 1-3 in the Getting started with Incoming Webhooks section.
    1. After completing step 3, copy the Webhook URL found in the Webhook URLs for Your Workspace section.
    2. Paste the Webhook URL in the Webhook URL field.
  4. In Sender's Name, enter a name that will appear in the Slack message.
  5. In the Channels section, type in a channel name or a username in the textbox.
    Note:
    • Only one channel or one username can be entered in the textbox at a time.
    • Prefix a username with "@" to notify a user and a channel with "#" to notify a channel.
    1. Click Add Channel or press Enter to add the channel or username to the list.
    2. Click Test to send out a test message.
    3. Optional: Click Remove to remove the channel or username.
    4. Optional: In the Enter Channel Name field, type in another channel or username and click Add Channel to add it to the list.
  6. Click Save.

After connecting to the Slack integration to TXM, create a rule and select creating a Slack message as an action.
