Integrate Marketo

Integrate Marketo with to create new members, or update profile variables for existing members, using customer lead information in Marketo.

Prerequisites:

You must have login credentials for your organization's Marketo account.

The integration with Marketo enables you to map customer lead details stored in Marketo to member profile variables in . users are able to use this information to segment and target activities for members using profile variables.

  1. In the navigation bar, click Product Settings > App Center - App Directory.
  2. Install Marketo using one of the following options:
    Option Description
    App Directory
    1. Click Install in the App Directory, under Marketo.
    App Details page
    1. Click the Marketo application icon in the App Directory.

      The application redirects you to the App Details page in the App Directory.

    2. Click Install.
  3. If this is your first time installing something from the App Directory, review the terms and conditions, select I accept the terms and conditions, and click OK.
  4. In the Finding Your API Information dialog, read about the API settings you need and where to find them. You will need the four values described to configure your connection. When you have identified the information you need, click Proceed.
  5. The configuration for the App is completed in a separate pop-up window. If you are prompted to disable pop-up blockers, follow the instructions in your browser's documentation to temporarily or permanently disable pop-up blockers for the site.
  6. Configure authentication settings for :
    1. In the Alida Authentication page, click New Authentication.
    2. In the Create a new authentication page, enter the required settings.
      • Community API key name
      • API key
      • Client ID
      • Client secret
    3. Click Create.
      Result: The connection information you entered is validated and you are returned to the Alida Authentication page.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Configure authentication settings for Marketo:
    1. In the Marketo authentication page, click New Authentication.
    2. In the Create a new authentication page, enter the the authentication information for Marketo and click Create.
    3. If prompted, complete the authentication process with Marketo in a pop-up window.
    4. Click Next.
  9. In the Mapping Drop-Down List page, select the fields to map by clicking Add new mapping and choosing the Marketo field on the left and the Alida profile variable to map it to on the right.
    At a minimum, you should map the first name and last name fields.
  10. Click Finish.
The Marketo integration begins installing. When it is complete, the application displays a notification message that says Marketo was successfully installed. Marketo now appears on the Installed Apps page. You can click on the link in this page to manage the app if your settings change.
